Purposeful Pages Link-Up Launch!

Purposeful Pages Link-Up Launch

Friends, I am beyond excited for what Hannah Rodriguez and I have for you all today.

Welcome to the launch of Purposeful Pages!

We’ve been preparing for this for almost two months now, and dreaming about it for longer.

I am absolutely thrilled to see this take off and watch where it goes.

Hannah and I announced the start of our Purposeful Pages link-up last month, and you can see my post about that here.

So without further adieu, we give you: PURPOSEFUL PAGES!

If you’re wondering what PP is, here’s a little description. (For the record, all of this information is up on this page here and will be updated monthly.)

Purposeful Pages is a monthly link-up designed to unite bloggers on answering questions about life, blogging, the Bible, writing, and books.

Hannah and I noticed a trend among bloggers. Every blogger is a writer in their own way. Many bloggers are readers. And many of those same people are Christians – among them, some of the strongest, kindest, most supportive people we’ve ever met!

The online blogging community is a seriously amazing one. I like to call it, “where everybody knows everybody.” It’s such a blessing to be involved in the writing, reading, and faith blogging community, and Hannah wanted to unite us all even further with a monthly link-up.

If you’re wondering when it is, it starts today! Furthermore, Purposeful Pages is live on the first Saturday of every month for you to jump in whenever you want, until the next set of questions is up. Anyone can join at any time.

Seriously, it’s that simple. And if you want to add your voice to the mix and submit questions, you can submit them to Scattered Journal Pages or Furious Ever Afters via the contact forms on scatteredjournalpages.com (Amanda’s blog) and/or furiouseverafters.blogspot.com (Hannah’s blog).

Wondering how to participate? Here are the directions.

  • Link back to Hannah and Amanda’s blogs at the beginning of your post, and insert the Purposeful Pages header image (meme).
  • Copy and paste the description of Purposeful Pages above.
  • Answer the questions; if you don’t feel comfortable answering a question or it doesn’t apply to you, feel free to go on to the next one instead.
  • Comment on one of the girls’ blogs with the link to your post so they can check it out.

That’s it! If you’ve never done a link-up before, think of it like a tag, and one that you’re always tagged in.

If you’re wondering why we call it Purposeful Pages, and not, say, “That Link-Up Thing Hosted By Some Bloggers,” I wrote a blog post on that. You’re welcome to read it.

However, if you just want the short answer, here you are.

We call it Purposeful Pages because we believe that life should be purposeful in every way. In what we read, what we write, and how we live, we believe that purpose is important. Additionally, every blogger is a writer in their own way, and blogging is a way to share “pages” of our lives with others.

Blogging is something I have a passion for, as is purpose. We don’t need to wander around for our whole lives wondering what we’re supposed to be doing – we can discover it right here, right now, as we find the things we love to do and find joy in doing!

Now, I’m assuming you’d actually like the questions, and I have them right here. Prepare your blogs, readers!

Question One // What verse and chapter of the Bible inspired you the most this past month, and why?
Question Two // What’s a book (fiction or nonfiction) that you read or continued reading this past month that reminded you of an important truth?
Question Three // Do you have any goals for yourself this month? If so, what are they?
Question Four // Have you discovered anything new or changed your blog around this past month?
Question Five // What is your favorite blog post that you wrote in June?
Question Six // Can you share one quotable thing from your novel/book (if applicable) that you recently wrote?
Question Seven // What biblical character would you get along with the most, and why?
Question Eight // Favorite new word unearthed from the dictionary?
Question Nine // In the blogging world, what’s one thing you have learned about yourself?
Question Ten // What fictional character would you spend the day with, and what would you do?

Those are the official questions for July! If you have any questions, leave me a comment! Now go and have fun with the link-up. Don’t forget to comment on here or Hannah’s blog with the link to your post.

And if you’re as excited as I am, please share on social media!

I’m not totally sure. I remember wanting to start something to network bloggers, and I suggested it to Hannah, and she told me she thought of the exact same thing! Haha. 😀
Nope, you can do it anytime in the month of July! Just make sure to link up in the comment section on mine or Hannah’s blog. 🙂 I’m so happy that you want to do it!

  3. Oh my goodness, these questions look so good! I can’t wait to get this posted!
Thank you so much for doing this, and for making PURPOSE the main purpose (hah) It’s something I’ve been thinking about this month, especially in what I read. Fiction (and non fiction) with real, true purpose, are wonderful things.
Thank you Amanda! (and Hannah! 😀 )

      1. Ooh, okay!

        1) Psalm 119:89-100. I am currently memorizing Psalm 119, and I just loved those verses about God’s word
        2) OOh! Samara’s Peril by Jaye L Knight! That God’s love is never failing! And he will never leave us nor forsake us!
        3) Memorize about 20 verses of Psalm 119 by the end of the month (5 per week) and finish the voice track editing on the audio drama my family is making. 🙂
        7) Hmmm, I’m not really sure! Maybe Solomon.
        8) Argh, I can’t think of one off the top of my head!
        10) Elanor from Samara’s Peril. Just talk! I think we would get along well. I wish she was in the book more. 😦

I have, actually! But I’m pretty sure I can’t do it on WordPress.com, just WordPress.org – and I have my website through the .com. I will look into it, though!
