Hey, friend!
Thank you for checking out this page. As you’ve probably already figured out, this is about my book.
Now, it’s not published yet, nor is it fully written. But for those of you that have been asking, yes, I’m in the process of writing it.
What is it about, you ask? Good question.
I started writing it on my sixteenth birthday, on April 2nd, 2016. In my description on Camp NaNoWriMo, I wrote, “I’m writing a book to help Christian teens (and others too) navigate how to do things in this raw, scary, stressful, and thrilling thing we call ‘The Christian Life.'”
The Christian life is hard, it’s scary, it’s unpredictable, and it’s the most wonderful thing that’s ever happened to me. However, as I’ve learned in my own life, “wonderful” does not necessarily mean easy or pain-free.
So in this book, I’m addressing real things like depression and heartbreak and suffering, and difficult relationships and Christianity and hypocrisy in the church. Yet, I don’t want to leave it there. I want to point us to the hope that we have, and how to practically regain the joy that we have in our salvation. I want to help us thrive in every situation. I want us to learn to love our God not out of obligation, but out of experiencing His grace.
Your struggles are real, as are mine. But we’re far from hopeless, even if things seem impossible.
That’s what I want to share in my book, as I write about a myriad of topics.
I’ve posted a few things on this blog from the first chapter of my book, so if you’re interested in reading more, here are the links.
Sneak Peek of My Book! – on stress.
More of My Book! (Theme: Overcoming Anxiety) – on anxiety.
More of My Book: Mending – on depression.
Of course, more topics are coming! And this doesn’t even scratch the surface of what I have coming. But for now, whet your appetite with these segments. 😉
I hope you enjoy! Definitely let me know what you think about it so far. And a little extra encouragement to write never hurts!
