Hey, friends. August is just about over, which is sad, because that means the summer’s gone.
I’m aware that today is supposed to be a Hebrews Bible Study post, but instead of that, we have a recap post to do before Purposeful Pages Link-Up: September Edition launches. If you haven’t done August’s edition for your blog yet, it’s not too late!
This month has been amazing, so let’s dive right in.

Journaling has been something that I’ve done for a long time. Whether I completely realized what I was doing or why, when I was younger, I’m not completely sure. However, I do know that keeping a somewhat-consistent journal has benefited me immensely as I’ve grown – both physically and spiritually.
So without further adieu, I give you five reasons why I journal.

I’ve been passionate about books for as long as I can remember. There’s something about falling into a world created by an author that’s simply magical – the feeling of sinking deeply into characters’ heads, of exploring realms, of reading words that seem like liquid gold.
And yet something that’s equally important to me is this idea of discernment; of being intentional regarding what I read, and knowing that the views presented, whether upfront or not, will influence me in some way.

Normally, because it’s a Tuesday in the summer, we’d be doing a Bible study on one chapter in the book of Hebrews. However, because I need to get around to doing it, it’s time for a June monthly recap instead. And anyway, breaks are good!
